Reflet Mondial de la Photographie 2011
There are inescapable appointments: the "Reflet Mondial de la Photographie" organized every two years to Mouscron by the Photo-club ARTEC is one of those. It is indeed the regional exhibition which welcomes the largest number of visitors so much its reputation grew since its creation in 1971. Everybody makes photos to keep the souvenir of a happy event, a journey, a meeting but some make it with a very personal, poetic or creative glance and the photos become then for them a mode of artistic expression. It is that aim in any case about at 750 photographers, coming of about 40 different countries which are going to send, within the context of the "Reflet Mondial 2011", more than 2800 photos which will be subjected to an international jury. This one will keep only the cream, the elite, approximately 350 photos which amaze, touch, or fill with wonder. These works will be exposed to the Centre Staquet de Mouscron from 6 till 20 March 2011. This international Biennial event, which will be for its 21th edition there, establishes the most important salon of photos organized in Belgium. Thanks to the Photo-club ARTEC, the city of Mouscron can be proud of being the siege. It is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see how men and women from England to Argentina, in passing of Canada, India, Viet Nam and the USA, dread their nature, their light, their places of life or how they imagine and create different worlds. Next to these images stemming from all the places of the Earth, will be also exposed the works of a guest, a photographer of international reputation, as well as photos of the members of the ARTEC. A magnificent resuming catalog taking back 60 of the best exposed images will be published for the occasion. In the inescapable appointments, you should thus not miss the "Reflet Mondial de la Photographie 2011" which will be presented to the Center Staquet from 6 till 20 March. The exhibition will be accessible in the week from 14 to 18. 30 hours and the weekend from 10 to 12 hours and from 14 to 19 hours. There are possibilities of special schedules for groups. The access to this magnificent exhibition will be free.
